LOS ANGELES SWEETHEART DOG/LITTLE BEAR/WOOKIEE NEEDS HOME

This is Handsome. He is a gentle-natured 2-year-old Rottweiler/Siberian Husky mix I’ve been fostering. He weighs about 60 pounds and is the sweetest little bear, big teddy bear, and Wookiee sidekick you could ever want.

A while ago, my mother rescued six animals and then left me with them. It was kind of like the premise of Baby Boom. I set about finding homes for the cats first (with tumblr’s help!), and now it’s this boy’s turn! LET’S DO THIS.

He is a goofball.

He loves snuggles.

His current roommate is this Oscar Madison jerk (shown left) who hogs all the attention and chews up everything. They can’t have a blanket or a bed, because she will eat them. HANDSOME DESERVES BETTER.

He would love a place of his own or siblings who will be nice to him.

He is super gentle and loving. He gets antsy because he has so little space and attention — I am essentially storing these dogs in my tiny kitchen behind a baby gate. It’s a substandard situation at best, and I am in awe of how sweet and tolerant Handsome has been about it.

I’d be mad if someone were storing me in a kitchen, wouldn’t you? But he isn’t. He just wants love. And he has an unbelievably cute underbite.

It’s time for him to get a real home, where he can follow his person around and go on long walks and snuggle. Let’s make that happen, tumblr.

Handsome is:

• in Los Angeles,
• neutered,
• house-trained with a doggy door,
• current on all his shots,
• and both affectionate and really really ridiculously good-looking.
